Midnight Mist Eyes

Don't mind my one brow hair trying to break out from the line

Finally, one of our new found bargains in a look. Swatches and thoughts can be found here.

I saw some of the comments yesterday about the eyeshadows being a bit of a pain to work with. I did not experience that at all but I think the texture of these shadows will work better together with a rather dry primer. I find the eyeshadows to appear a bit creamy yet they're dry and one really need to press in the pigment and then blend.

Unfortunately this pigment is super hard to capture, hence the shower of pictures!

Products used:
Primer - Too Faced Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue
Shadows - Too faced Exotic Color Eye Shadow in Midnight Mist, Mac Pressed Eyeshadow in Vanilla & Surreal (under the eyes), Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette (Tease, Bootycall & Chooper),
Eyeliner - MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack
Eyepencil - NYX Slim Eyepencil in Emerald City
Mascara - Eyeko Curvy Brush Mascara
Eyebrow - Illamasqua Fine Pencil in Peace together with Yaby Brow Shade No2

Please feel free to share your greatest tricks to apply these gorgeous eyeshadows!

Enjoy!

Too Faced Exotic Color Eye Shadow Haul!

We're probably some of the last beauty bloggers  on the planet to finally own some of these goodies from Too Faced. But better later than never, right?! We got them from beautybay.com when they had their amazing sale a while ago.
And are they incredible or what?! But with a rather complicated name I would say. They're all duo chrome in some weird way, which is really fabulous and makes them incredibly hard to describe with words!

 Here's what we got:

Poison Orchid, a purple colour with tons of pink sparkle in it with a hue of black undertone.

Midnight Mist, as the name states a midnight blue with sparkles in it but when faded out it turns brownish...

Magic Mushroom, a baby pink with golden shimmer in it and in certain light hues to silver shimmer.

Violet Femme, a rather matte lavender purple but with bigger golden sparkles in it

Petals To The Metal, a green hue which turns brown when faded with a hint of red undertones and on top of that holographic sparkles!

Time for Electric Blue

Time time time for some action! And neon-like colours!
Besides the here-I-am-pink, I wanted the bottom lash area to be all in one. From the waterline and below, so I started with a blue eyepencil on the waterline and under the bottom lashes, applied some shadow and closed the deal with some very bright blue mascara!
I kind of like it! I should try this with other colours I think!
Hope you like it as much as I do haha!

So we're finally feeling the new watermark being right, but how about you?  We've chosen to have a bit heavier opacity than before so there's no way to miss it, or cut it out. Hope you'll understand.
Otherwise give us some thought about it!

On to the products:
Primer - NYX JEP in Milk
Shadows - Shadows from the Ultra Matte v1 Palette from Sleek using Pout, Pucker, Sugarlite, Chill, Bolt and Pow. SugarPill Pressed Eyeshadow Tako.
Eyepencil - NYX Slim Eye Pencil in Electric Blue
Mascara - Top: Skinny Brush Mascara from Eyeko. Bottom: Coloured Mascara from TGR
Eyebrows - Le Crayon Eyekohl in Bronze by Lancome

Over and out and enjoy!

Kiko Colour Kajals

We have been shopping a bit lately so we thought we'd show you some of the goodies here!
So we'll start with a brand we don't have owned at all before: Kiko!
We got totally lost in their shop at Westfield in Shepard's Bush in London and ended up with a lot of pencils from their range! We often find the eye pencil section pretty dull amongst other brands (not always of course, but still very often!) and so we almost jumped up and down when we stood at Kiko's eye pencils!!
There were so many colours! Yiha is what we say to that!! Look at them!!
These are the Colour Kajals from Kiko

Phlox and I tend to look at different hues when we're shopping, she likes more to the red/orange hues, while I look the other way to green/blue hues. So when we look down in each others baskets we often grab a few more in the opposite range just for fun, but also as a challenge. So that's why we don't show doublets, we just like to show all the colours we buy!

Swatch-time!

We haven't used them all, but some has been on and they have happily surprised us!
I (Azure) like the 110 bright blue very much, and it stays put on the waterline very well, and I have a hard time finding pencils that last long on my waterline so I do a woot woot for this one.
Phlox has used the dark blue a lot and likes it a lot too!

So whatcha think!? Isn't it nice to see such bright eye pencils instead of the usual moss green and light gold?
You know we like them colours!!

Enjoy!

Dirty Mood

I'm still on this a bit dirty mood for my looks. I don't know why, but I think it's just a phase and I like to follow my mood when creating looks.
So for this one I focused a bit more on the area under the bottom lashes, made the shadows a bit thicker and not lightened the tear ducts at all.
Pretty simple all in all but I kind of liked it anyway!

Do you like to change focus from time to time?

Products on my eyes:
Primer - NYX JEPs in Cottage Cheese and Sparkling Nude
Shadows - Mushroom, Spotlight, Limelight and Skimp from The Mariposa Palette from Urban Decay
Mascara - Curvy Brush Mascara from Eyeko
Eyebrows - Le Crayon Eyekohl in Bronze by Lancome and Clear Brow Gel from H&M

Enjoy!
