So today we are doing a rather different post and we're doing it together with the nail guru Esther from Fab Fingertips! Yiha!
She does the most amazing things when it comes to nails, and she's got the best painting skills!
We often find ourselves drooling over her nails, and a full load of jealousy that our hands are just dull even when we try our hardest!
With that said check out her fascinating blog for a great source of nail inspiration!
Esther came up with the brilliant idea to create looks with both nails and eyes with inspiration of two colours from the Curacao eye shadow palette from Sleek.
Who knew that nail art could be so inspiring!?
Here's the palette in mind, just as a reminder!
The idea was to choose two colours each to work with , and Fab Fingertips choice was Blue Hawaiian and Bloody Mary.
She did two looks using nail polishes terrifyingly close to the shadows.
For further details check out her blog, since we don't know half the things she knows about the brands in use.
And here are her fab fingertips! Stunning, right!
And to match that up, this is us using Blue Hawaiian and Bloody Mary.
First out is Phlox!
A look more for the bolder ones. The blue eyeliner is SugarPill's Loose Eyeshadow in Royal Sugar mixed with Duraline from Inglot.
And Azure, using a glitter eyeliner from Collection 2000 in Night Fever along with NYX Slim Eyepencil in Electric Blue for the waterline.
Azure did another look, inspired from the dots of the nails. The glitter dots are made from a red hobby glitter together with Clearly Liquid Glitter Base from Lit Cosmetics.
Then it was our time to choose colours! We came up with Singapore Sling and Screwdriver!
Of course Fab Fingertips had two matching polishes to that too! Just look at that!
And again, if you want to know more about the polishes, visit her blog, because honestly, we are not a good information source!
And her nails with the same pattern.
And her's what we came up with! Ironically we ended up with reversed waterlines, and this without discussing how we would do our looks!
We simply pressed the eyeshadow on top of the eyepencil.
This might feel a bit dry in the eye, so be careful if you have sensitive eyes!
The glitter is Collection 2000 again, but this time it's Dancing Queen!
And here's some looks we did inspired by those amazing dots from Fab Fingertips nails! We just had to interpret them to get a real matching look, and just look at Phlox!
The purple in the spots is Weekender Loose Eyeshadow from SugarPill, mixed with Duraline from Inglot. And the black is a regular liquid eyeliner, Precision Ink in Abyss from Illamasqua.
And Azure is looking like this!
It almost got a bit out of hand with the dots, but it looked so cool with them on it was almost hard to stop!
Fab Fingertips is a genius when it comes to dots!
And yes we wore the looks out....!
And why not try it on the lips as well? As said, this dotting part really made an imprint on Azure, but hey it was fun!
And not super serious!
Using the same glitter eyeliner again for both looks: Dancing Queen from Collection 2000!
Hope you liked it, because it was a lot of fun creating these looks!
And who knows, we might do it again!
The Nail and Eye Crew are coming back!
Over and out!
Phlox and Azure!
