The Last Day of the Year!!

Yay!
So we're at the last day of the year, and this is my final look of the year. And it wasn't me who did it!!
Phlox made my New Years look, so give the credit to her!
We never get our make up done by someone else than ourselves, so she came up with the brilliant idea to make some changes, so we did!
She wanted me in pitch black, as you can see, and applied a lot of black but made a core of orange/red as a cool detail. And glitter of course, both black and orange!
I thought this was so cool, and also how she some how tossed in some green to this!

Hope you all have a wonderful and superfun New Years Eve! See ya next year!

A purplish New Years!

Yao!
Next in line for our New Years inspirational is my purplish blue eye!
I like smokey eyes with added colour rather than just black.
And of course I had to add some glitter, in fact the whole thing lasts so much longer when I'm wearing glitter!
Normally I use glitter in the same colour as the shadows, but today I wanted to twist it up a bit so I used a pink toned glitter, which made the look be more purple.
Quite cool if I may say so!!

NYE Silver Smokey Eyes

Here's my next contribution to the NYE inspiration. This look is really dark and more daring to wear. I added some glitter in the middle of the eyelid and kept it darker in the inner and outer corner of the eye. I also tossed on some glitter under the eyes just to create more bling to the look!
I actually used my new camera to shoot this pictures and may I say I just love it. The camera is a Sony NEX-5k with a E 18-55mm objective, I bought them on sale and it was a package deal. This camera does colour balance like no other and the white balance is just incredible. These pictures was taken without flash and in pretty poor day light. I'm just thrilled over my new camera and as soon as I got some time I will show it more properly for you. Promise!

The List:
Primer - Medusa Stick It
Shadows - Illamasqua's Powder Eyeshadow in Lestat, Sleek Palette in Bad Girl, Sugarpill Pressed Eyeshadow in Tako, Sugarpill Loose Eyeshadow in Tiara

Classic Smokey Eyes for New Years

Next one out for NYE is this classic smokey look. If desired one can make it lighter with just adding a lighter shadow in the inner corner of the eye and skip the black eye pencil on the waterline and use a lighter gray or even white eye pencil instead! I've also shaded the black eyeshadow out towards the temples and not so much up to the brow just to create more of a elongated catlike eye.

My products used:
Primer - Medusa Stick it
Shadows - Sleek Palette in Oh So Special, Illamasqua's Powder Eyeshadow in Lestat, Sugarpill Pressed Eyeshadows in Tako, Sugarpill Loose Eyeshadow in Tiara, Mad Mineral Multi Use Mineral Color in Wedding
Eyepencil - NYX Slim Eyepencil in Black
Eyeliner - Precision Ink in Abyss from Illamasqua
Mascara - Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes Mascara in Black
Eyebrow - Yaby Brow Shade in No. 2

To this kind of eye make up I would probably wear some sheer pink coloured lips like this:

I used Illamasqua's Medium Pencil in Cane and draw it all over my lips to prime and just to get them really light ( yes one looks really sick). Then I applied Illamasqua's Intense Lipgloss in Indulge. Voila! A softer and more stay-on colour!

Enjoy!

Midna Eyes - New Years Tutorial

So I showed a look a while ago where I showed a pigment from The Legends Collection from Shiro Cosmetics called Midna. You can watch it here.
It's a grey/bluish smokey eye, and very simple to do, and also very subtle for New Years.
I did a tutorial on the look, if you want to try it out!
Let's go!
Start with doing your complexion, a clean base

Prime the lid. I'm applying High Tech Lighter Platina from MUS with my finger (and a flaking polish, sorry for that one!)

Result from primer, a sticky base with a slight of metallic sheen

First shadow is applied with a smaller brush.

I applied Midna from The Legends Collection by Shiro Cosmetics up to the crease

Shaped like this. You can also see some of the blue that Midna has, but a regular grey will do just fine

Time to blend out the edges. Use a fluffy brush for best result

I blended outwards directing to the temples, and also up to the beginning of the brow

Add some light blue, in this case I've used Nayru's Love also from The Legends Collection from Shiro Cosmetics. If you don't want any blue at all, I would suggest a white/silver pigment to match the grey

Blend it in with Midna and fade them together

Highlight the brow bone using a light shadow. I used Puzzle Cube from Shiro Cosmetics, The Legends Collection

Blend the highlight with your other shadows, to make everything soft. No harsh lines here!

Colour your waterline. I used a grey pencil (Clouded Sky from Make Up Store) for a softer look, but if you want it darker and more hard core, take a black one

Paint a roughly line under the bottom lashes with the same pencil

And smudge it out with a synthetic brush

Then place your grey shadow you started with in the beginning on the eyepencil using a rather small brush for more control. This is still Midna I'm using

And this is the result

Take your highlight shadow (in my case Puzzle Cube) and light up the rest of the bottom lashes and the tear duct. I used the same big brush because I didn't mind getting some sparkles around. But use a smaller brush if you'd like

Tadaa. Look at them sparkles!

Eyeliner! If you like a sharp eyeliner, use it now, but I used an eyepencil to get it more fuzzier. This is the S.O.P.H.I.E Pencil from Illamasqua

Starting in the middle of the eye and painting it outwards makes the eye more catlike, but you can start at the tear duct if you want to

I applied some more Midna on top of my eyeliner to make it blend in more with the shadows, but this is optional depending on how much you want your eyeliner to show

So here's my final eyeliner, not harsh at all. Compare it to the last eyeliner photo to know how you'd like it

Applying shadow on top of an eyepencil makes it a little more sparklier!

Do your brows! I used Powder Eyeshadow Wolf from Illamasqua

And then the final touch: Mascara who completes the whole thing! This is The Masquara from Illamasqua in Raven
And that's it! I hoped you've find it inspirational and hopefully useful for your look to New Years!

Sum up of my products:
Primer - High Tech Lighter Platina from Make Up Store
Shadows - Midna, Nayru's Love & Puzzle Cube from The Legends Collections by Shiro Cosmetics
Eyepencil - Clouded Sky from MUS
Eyeliner - S.O.P.H.I.E Pencil from Illmasqua
Mascara - Raven Masquar by Illamasqua
Eyebrow - Powder Eyeshadow Wolf from Illamasqua

Enjoy!
